淄博市智能电网联盟提供35kV及以下智能变配电设备的设计、改造、制造、安装施工、检测验收、运行维护。联盟囊括了淄博市智能电网产业的主要骨干企业29家，主要产品包括电力一次设备和二次设备研发制造，以二次设备为主，产品涉及无功补偿、电能质量管理、输配电成套设备、节能变压器、计量检测装置、智能用电管理终端、各类传感器、计量检测在线监测设备、防雷击安全装置、电力系统自动化设备与系统、化学储能设备、复合绝缘子、电线电缆、各类光纤、无线通信等，形成了一定的产业集聚和规模，产业规模相对较大、产业集聚度较高、产业竞争力较强，具有系统集成（EPC）总包电力工程的能力。
联盟内企业与高校等研究机构结合紧密，创新优势明显。联盟现拥有一批功能完善智能电网产业技术创新载体，包括5个省级工程技术研究中心和10多个市级工程技术研究中心。骨干企业创新意识较强，与中科院、中国计量科学研究院、清华大学、上海交大、天津大学、山东大学、哈工大、山东理工大学等科研院所已建立起长期的产学研合作关系，产业竞争力较强，有明显的技术创新优势。
